OUR PROFESSIONALS
Childbirth Educators teach birthing classes during your pregnancy. Some teach group classes; private classes are often also available. All of our teachers base their information in the latest scientific research. All of our teachers are CAPPA trained and/or certified.
We have unparalleled back-up doula services!
• With the Charlotte Birth Collaborative, you get two labor doulas for the price of one!
• You hire your primary doula, and you will automatically have a secondary doula at no extra charge.
• Both doulas will attend your prenatal meetings, help you prepare for your birth and answer any and all questions you may have.
• Your primary doula will attend your birth. If, for some reason, she is unable to attend, you will already have a back-up doula at the ready. Unlike a traditional back-up, this is someone that you already know equally well, have worked alongside in your preparations and already feel comfortable with!
• The doula that attends your birth will follow up with you at your postpartum appointment.
That’s it! No surprises! No chance of being left without assistance. Less stress. And no hidden costs!
Postpartum Doulas come alongside families to make sure the mother’s and baby’s physical and emotional needs are being met. They have additional training in basic newborn care, breastfeeding support & infant CPR. Each postpartum doula varies in her services, scheduling, and pricing. You don’t have to go it alone! Lactation professionals have more intensive training in breastfeeding support than our other professionals. They do consultations and some hold local support groups. If you need breastfeeding support – don’t wait! The earlier you ask for help, the easier it is to solve any issues!
