The Intro to Aromatherapy is a comprehensive overview of the science behind essential (volatile) oils.
This 3-month intensive takes a deep dive into aromatherapy where science and tradition meet. You will learn the history of aromatic plant oils and how they came to be the essential oils we recognize today. By the time you have completed this course, you will have deep knowledge of 30 different essential oils, their origin, uses, functions, and safety information – as well as a clear understanding of the chemical properties that give them their medicinal benefits. We will also take a look at the leading brands and see how they compare in the laboratory. Learn to prepare your own wellness remedies, health & beauty products, and cleaning supplies using the proper dilution amounts that are both highly effective and safe for use. In addition, all of our courses at Natural Abundance contain information for safe use during the perinatal period (pregnancy, birth, postpartum & lactation) and for use with babies and children.

This introductory course is designed to be completed in 3 months. A new unit is unlocked every two weeks to help student stay on track and succeed in completing the course. Access to student portal with all online content lasts six months in case extra time is needed. All digital materials students with to keep for future reference must be downloaded by that time.

Certification questions
All Natural Abundance classes are taught from the perspective of “science meets tradition”. This course’s aim is to equip individuals and families to use natural remedies with confidence and learn to separate pseudoscience from research-based aromatherapy. As a perinatal wellness school, this course also includes information about usage and safety for pregnancy, birth postpartum and lactation, as well as considerations for working with babies and children.

This course is perfect for aspiring aromatherapists who are just starting out or for self-taught aromatherapists looking to supplement their education. No previous education or experience is required.

Tuition for the Intro to Aromatherapy course is $149 if paid in full. Payment plan options are available.

Yes! We have a payment plan option avaialble through PayPal credit. Once you complete your registration page and are taken to the PayPal website for payment, simply choose the “PayPal Credit” option. It will pay your registration for you in full. Then, you are able to make your payments in the amounts and timing that are convenient for you. There are no fees or interest charged as long as the total amount is paid in 6 months or less.
If a student who has registered by paying their tuition in full discovers within the first week that this course will not be a good fit for their needs, they may request an 80% refund of their total tuition payment. 20% is retained by the school to cover proprietary information already provided to the student as well as administrative costs for adding and dropping the course. After 7 days following registration, students are no longer eligible for a refund of any kind. (Students registering using PayPal credit may or may not qualify for a partial refund in the first week depending on PayPal’s refund policy at the time.)
