What is required?
The traditional certification process for the programs below can take anywhere from 2 months to 2 years – depending on how motivated you are to get through the requirements! The first step for both programs is to attend an in-person training. There are no prerequisites to register for a training!
After you complete your certification, CAPPA requires recertification every 3 years. Recertification ensures that our professionals are up to date on all current birthing information, scientific research and labor techniques. It is this commitment to excellence that has earned us an enviable reputation in the professional community!
